Enrique Ponce
Enrique is an award-winning composer and pianistwhose music has been featured in numerous film and video game projects both in the United States and abroad. Enrique holds a Master of Music Degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games from the Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. He has had several opportunities to record and conduct his music with renowned film orchestras in the U.K., Hungary, Macedonia, and Spain.
Recognized for it’s compositional creativity and orchestral zest, Enrique’s music has been nominated and won awards in film festivals throughout the United States; most notably, he was awarded Best Original Score at the Los Angeles CineFest for his score to the animated short, “Twilight Prophecy,” in 2017.

Enrique holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Music from the University of Texas at El Paso where he studied piano with Dr. Dena Kay Jones. He had shown an interest in music from an early age and began studying piano and composition when he was 12 years old. Enrique started formal composition lessons at the age of 16 with composer Dr. Dominic Dousa, who continued to mentor him through the course of Enrique’s degree.
Enrique was a finalist and runner-up for the annual Concerto & Aria competition in 2010, as well as being selected to perform in UTEP’s Honor Recital, which features the most accomplished music students. He was given the opportunity to showcase his compositions and was presented with the “Most Outstanding Music Student” award for 2013. In 2016, Enrique graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Master’s Degree in Scoring For Film, Television, and Video Games from the Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. While at Berklee, Enrique realized his music with industry professional musicians and mastered the orchestral recording process. Under the instruction of composers Lucio Godoy, Alfons Conde, and Vanessa Garde, Enrique participated in numerous remote recording sessions with the Budapest Art Orchestra and was selected to perform his original ethnically inspired works in a live concert setting. After completing his studies in Europe, Enrique has returned to his hometown of El Paso and is actively scoring new projects. His local collaborators include PBS Digital Studios, Bored Film Studios, and JonGon Productions. Enrique’s international endeavors include scoring various televised productions in Thailand as well as assisting composers and recording sessions in Kuwait. Within the United States, Enrique has recently been composing music for Materia Collective, a record label that exclusively deals in the production and licensing of video game music. Through Materia Collective, Enrique has been working on a series of albums officially licensed by SquareEnix which are due to be released in late 2020 and mid 2021. Over the past couple years Enrique has earned numerous accolades for his work in various film festivals and scoring competitions. Notably, he was awarded 2nd Place in the instrumental category of the International Songwriting Competition in 2018 and 2019, standing out against 19,000 other entries in both years. His music has been nominated for Best Original Score in the Pinnacle Film Awards, Mindfield Film Festival, Buenos Aires International Film Festival, Hollywood Songwriting Contest, among many others.
